Yeah........I did it !!!

Ok....ignore the title I put.....Actually I failed....But just to sound positive, I make it as it was a successful year....

As we are counting our day for the New Year, 2008 had seen one of the biggest changes in my life as well as most of my university friends’ life. Life in 2008 is tough, challenging but on the other hand, the most enjoyable year. Year 2008 was also a year where it passby too fast that it seem like I have done nothing in this year...

But before I ended this year post, here is the review of my failure resolution of the year.

Basically I fail in all the resolution I do...I fail to take P1 and P2 exam as I ended with P1 and P3...Result is gonna out in February....

I didn't save enough money as targeted although I do pay back some small portion of my PTPTN....

I fail to climb up my corporate ladder this year as I shift my job to another interesting field...Yes, what a failure that I can't even survive for the year end stock take whereby I will be counting stock while most people are countdown to the 2009. I do fail...But I do success and doing well in new job....

I fail to earn my money from internet advertising because my blog is damm lousy

I fail to lost weight and maintain healthy lifestyle such as doing sport...

The resolution that is successful are,

I successfully pay for my car installment since the first month of my work...Damm proud of it...wakaka.....

I successfully to maintain this idiot blog although in some point of busy time I always wanted to scrap it away....
I almost fail to do charity work until yesterday where I attend the charity treaure hunt...The hardest hunt I ever went before...

Basically I screw up my resolution of year 2008.....such a failure....

BUT

2008 is one of the best years....So many things had happen.....So many things had changed.....

In January, I started stepping into the working environment with BDO as my first company. I love external audit job very much and I still do even today…

In February, I become the last person to arrive home for Chinese New Year….yup, all because of audit work!!!

In March, I have my very first convocation. Yes, I did it. I am a graduate with Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Accounting…..

In April, I celebrate my 21st Birthday...

In May and June, I was like totally lost in the world….I am so busy with work that I didn’t even have time for myself…..May and June is so boring!!! The only interesting thing during this time is I gamble for the first time in Genting!!! and First time taking flight

In July, I stared my first ACCA class….

In August I was locked in the house for 24 hours because my key was left in the car and no body is in the house….wahaha…. August is also the moodliest and down time for me….So many things had disturb my mind….I am lost….

In September, I tender for resignation. I couldn't believe what am I doing….Not even today, do I understand why I do that….But with no regret…BDO is great but my life now is as good as those days

In October, I left my first company, Saying goodbye to bunch of beloved friends….Having vacation to Phuket Island before starting my new job.

In November, I start my second job…Internal Audit in SP Setia…Great Company, great job, great team…..I also attend my first friend’s wedding….

In December, I take my very first ACCA exam, attend my company annual dinner, officially shifted back to Klang, and join a treasure hunt for charity though I didn't win but I didn't lost so badly either.

As 2008 is coming to the end, as we are counting our day to the new and better year...I look back of what happen in a year....I am satisfied for what I got, what I been blessed, what I have experienced....and what I have earned.....

2009, a year to catch up...So much to do...so much to expect.....

I belief everyone is hoping, if not praying that year 2009 will be better year, blessed with harmony and happiness, economy stability despite we are in the edge of world recession and cross finger together that we can achieve World Peace...

Yeah.....I make it for another year!!! I failled my resolution, but I earn another year of happiness, experience and life....Thank God!!!

Happy New Year

Mamma Mia....

Month ago we were entertained by the Mamma Mia Movie....Then The Star Newspaper start to advertise the Mamma Mia musical show.....It was very ABBA feel for this few months....

My company is the sponsors for the musical show and I get a chance to watch the show using the corporate ticket. Those who work in SP Setia will know that Mamma Mia has such a big correlation to our company. Years ago our Charity Dinner show also used the Mamma Mia concept and about hundred of the staff performing for the charity deed under the umbrella of Setia Foundation. This time around, yet our company sponsors the show by bring the team for yet another charity deed and this time for Star Foundation.

SP Setia, was one very unique company. Not like other company that only focuses on PROFITABILITY, SP Setia show concern toward the society, environment and also the staff besides safeguarding the shareholders wealth.

Back to Mamma Mia...

The show was simply perfect, fantastic and enjoying. Everyone in the Istana Budaya was mesmerizes by the performer. We were entertained with lots of song from ABBA and sexiest and funny scene. At the end of the show, majority of us stand up, sing and dance along till the curtain is down to mark the end of the show…

This was the second time I went for such a night; one during the first day screening of Wild Zebra and this time for SP Setia Corporate Night. I simply love Broadway show and musical theater.

Terrible Klang

I couldn't forgive myself if I do not post this today.

I believe Klangite have experience one of the worst traffic jam in the history ever of Malaysia. Frankly speaking I prefer jamming in KL rather than Klang...

Firstly jam in KL is culture or norm because it is big city, but jam in klang is disaster because it is due to construction

Secondly the jam in KL is for certain peak hour but jam in Klang is 24 hours...

Thirdly road condition in KL is ok but road condition at jamming area is full of holes and and pieces of construction metal are everywhere...

Frankly speaking the construction of the new 'facilities' should have ended long ago but due to unknown reason it was reschedule to either end of next year or 2010. It have been long suffering for us...I have been seeing it from my uni life till I work for almost a year....What happen?

The construction side is not properly closed making the air so polluted during the afternoon time, flood during raining time and noise pollution during working time...

Is a disaster in Klang...The project was suppose to ease us but now it make us so frustrated. We almost needed psychologies in Klang to treat our madness....

Actually the road have no problem so it doesn't need to be upgraded. Before the construction started, we have no problem with jam. Why should it now?

Super thanks to the ex-government....Super super thanks for letting Klang people experience massive jam...

After 1.5 months

It have been one and half months since my first day of working as Internal Audit Executive....

Life is totally change, totally different and totally new...

I have just finish my first audit and I believe I am quite happy with my current life...Basically life here is almost the same like external audit but different in few criteria

Stress: Double the stress
Fun: Double the fun
Work: Double the work, double the detail, double the difficulty
Staff: Double triple quadriple the less from external audit
Exposure: Double in depth into the industry but only focus at few industries
Happiness: Same

I am catching up my mood on blogging. Actually I do have lot of material to blog but my mood not there....Why?.....I become lazy when I am back to Klang?? Tomorrow I will be away to Rawang for audit.......Rawang!!!Why Rawang!!!

Wings

When I am two, my mom said:

You not yet know learn how to walk properly, now you want to learn how to run!

When I am six, my mom said:

You not yet learn how to run properly, now you want to learn how to fly!

Today I am officially out from KL...I move almost 90% of my assets in KL back to my home sweet home ending my 5 years long independent stay in KL...

Staying 10 months with my housemate, Nicholas, FW, BL and YH is consider such a short period. But time had prove that things change as time pass by. Time pass and little wings had grow inside us. Now we fly freedom to chase our dream...We fly to see our future....

In a month times all of us will be apart...Klang, Sri Permaisuri, Cahaya or Hang Tuah...No matter how we are seperated I will remember our day in C-0-6...

Let us fly

I am back

After the long suffering of facing book, I am back with my blog....yeahhhh...

First I wanted to express that I have high confident that i might fail my exam.....But I still put 101% hope on my passing....whatever, as long as the result is not out miracle can still happen....

Secondly during this period of 1 month, I have undergo a lot of changes in life and lot of new event...

Rather than breaking all this event into few posting I would like to lum everything into 1 post as there is very less picture capture....This is all because of my poor performing camera which always 'DIE' during my important time...

Firstly I attend my first friend wedding. Congrats to Louise Tan on her happy marriage and thanks for the invitation to your wedding dinner...

2nd my company annual dinner....It was a blast...Firework, dance, parade, performance laughter, nice food for the whole night....Basically I wanted to post the whole event out because it was a long and fun night but since my mood had fed away so I just cut it short....But one thing I can say, this is the best dinner I had ever go....Really...It was fantastic....

3rd my first ACCA exam.....P1 i do it so so only....less preparation I would say....P3 is totally disaster....Pray hard that I pass both paper....

Ok...thats for now...Picture come later because I am damm busy with other stuff....will update very very soon...

Introduction

Well, I just end my induction program which take 3 days. A day full of fun, excitement, discussion, touring and maybe some tear dropping feeling.

In the first day induction we are told about the vision, mission, goal and what the company expect from us. It wasn't any brief session but the company make sure we adopt this company policies and culture into our blood....Making sure we uphold the principle and always uphold the integrity and teamwork value.

Second day we are bring to tour around the project side including project that have finished and project that still going on. The journey took us back to the history of the company to what we are now today...

Third day is more to celebration day whereby the CEO come and give some speech and we have DeepaRaya celebration whereby all staff are invited to have lunch. The company do generous in treating the employee anyway...

What I like about the company is how the company remember the community and serve the community with care and responsible to the sustainability and environment.

The induction end with tear dropping, sad occosion whereby we bid farewell to those from Johor, Penang and KL branch and hope we can meet again soon. Anyway we will meet at the Annual Dinner...hehe...

All the best and I will keep all reader well posted about my development but not much about my job to make sure i do not leak any confidential information...hehe...

Congratulation Obama....We like U...

Hurley...satisfy?hehe...You make me feel so guilty...

Phuket Day 4

The final day of the tour wasn't climax or was it the most memorable. We have long whole day nothing to do except packing up our bag, check out, put our bag temporarily at the hotel admin room and went shopping for the whole afternoon.

Besides spending money on souvenir, we also spent money on facial massage. Planned for Thai Massage but we run out of money and scare of the pain....hehe..

Anyway I end up buying a watch for myself and few tie....Adding another few tie into my collection dy...

Then we went to snap the very last photo at the beach and Bangla Road before end up in KFC enjoying the special fried chicken. Their spicy fried chicken is nothing to compare to Malaysia KFC as it doesn't spicy at all. They also have roasted drummet and super jumbo carbonated drink. There is only 1 size of drink available in the KFC which was Super Jumbo....and it was about double the size of KFC drink in Malaysia...

Went to the airport and try to finish up every single Thai Bath we have. Lastly we end up in Free duty shop buying CK Perfume...Not bad and not so expensive....

Flight boarding time delay because the air traffic is bad in Phuket as many plane is coming down but AirAsia is great as the only take 10 minutes to clear the plane and another 10 minutes for us to go up the plan and take off. Despite 20 minutes late boarding, they are still able to fly on time...Thumb up...hehehe....but i prefer the compensate with free drink since we waited so long at airport...wakakaka...dreaming again...

Ok la....that all for Phuket...Exciting on the first day, adventurous on the second day, fun on the third day and relax and boring on the fourth day....

Conclusion...

1.Phuket is nice but kinda expensive....

2.Phuket driver like to honk...honk annnnnnnnd honk....

3.Phuket beach not as nice as Malaysian island beaches

4.Phuket is so Westernize that it lost its Thai culture and lost its Sawadee Kap!!!Disapointed

5.Never trust weather forecast on website..Forecast rain on my 1st, 2nd and 4th day but end up totally reverse. Only Day 3 is raining

6.Both Phuket airport and KLIA is so far from the town!!!
7.Phuket = Island of 1 old 'ah moh' guy and 1 hot thai mui

Ok la...conclusion, I have culture shock on the first day of arrival, custom shock on the second day, numb on the third day and finally I accept that culture on my last day...

Ok la...no picture on this post because too lazy to do so...hehe

Happy Deepavali

To all Indian in Malaysia and whole world,

Happy Deepavali

Phuket Day 3

Early in the morning, with sleepy and watery eye, we got up and have early bath. We fear that the van will come and pick up an hour earlier like what happen in the Day 2 tour. Unfortunately it does not so we decided to have quick breakfast. Since all café provide expensive western buffet, I am thinking why not we try out the breakfast set at the fast food restaurant. We went to Burger King for the breakfast and we order for ourselves different set available such as Omelet and Ham, Omelet and Bacon and Scramble Egg with Bacon for our breakfast which come with fries (since the hash brown is out of stock) and a cup of coffee.

We waited at the hotel lobby for few minutes after the breakfast and we are greet by our tour guide. We have good chat on the way and we are superbly surprise that we are the only one in the tour so we have exclusive private tour with one driver and one tour guide. That is damm value of money.

The tour guide speaks very well English and we chatted like long known friend. We chat about F1, Malaysia’s’ Island, tsunami, economy, lifestyle and even religious. Our very first stop was Karon Beach Viewpoint.
At this viewpoint we can see the beautiful 3 beaches mainly the Patong, Kata and Karon beach. The journey from Patong to the hill passes through the beaches so we can see the hotel and lifestyle near the beach. Undeniable, it was much quieter and not as exciting as Patong, suitable for those who wanted total relaxation. The viewpoint is extremely beautiful and refreshing and the spectacular view of 3 beaches at 300 feet above the sea level is just difficult to describe in word.

We then continue our journey along other small beaches such as Nan Hai, Club Med, and Cape Tromphep .

We arrive at yet another view point. The view was yet another spectacular sight. At this point I was standing, I swear to myself that if one day, I can be as rich as Bill Gates, I gonna buy this piece of land and built my villa here. It is just awesome. There is also wind generator there as well.

Our next stop is Phuket Shooting range and adventure park. We were brief about those games and we are allow to shoot without license here but we choose not to as it was expensive and it was’t in out budget. Other games available are paint ball, war games and ATV. Of course we didn’t play anything as it would be look a bit idiot if we play paint ball with 3 persons. So we decided to go off early.

Our next stop is Wat Chalong, the most visited temple in Phuket. There is a 3 tier pagoda build with white and pink marble whereby the highest floor contain Buddha relic. This pagoda is built with donation collected from tourist and local residents and take years to accomplish. The structure of thai temple is always very detail, symmetry and colorful. Thai people are in deed very religious as well. They burn fire cracker as thanks to the god, the offer flower and fruit as giving and blessing and they do lot of donation.

For me, I really like the art work in Wat Chalong that my camera cannot stop snapping photos. We do some praying before we left the temple. In deed we spent the most of the time in the temple.

Our next stop is Cashew Nut factory whereby the famous cashew nut of phuket is manufactured. Our dedicated tour guide explains the process of how the cashew nut is process. For your info, cashew fruit contain 2 parts mainly the fruit which we call it apple or ‘jambu’ in Malay and the nut itself. When the nut is pluck, it was crash using a machine as it was extremely hard, then the raw nut which contain lot of latex need to be clean and roasted and repeated process is done until it was clean and ready for cook. For century, we have been throwing away the fruit as it was useless and tasteless but due to the intelligent ladyboss, it was now been process into Cashew Apple juice whereby the extract is added with soda drink and it taste nice and refreshing just like fresh coconut with honey. We spent some time shopping and we end up buying at least 2100 bath worth of cashew nut product. You must be thinking we better chop down the tree and bring back to KL instead. But looking at the volume of cashew nut we bought and the difficult process of getting the cashew nut, I do believe it worth the money we spent in.

Our next stop which is also the last would be the Wan Tanlang (hope I get the name correct) for jewelry and gem factory which is also famous for its own pearl processing. It was cheap in price but just not the perfect timing for us to buy. The sales person keep on asking us to buy for our mom, our girl friend and our wife. You know what he said when we said we are still not attached? He just forwarded with another question which is “Then buy for your boyfriend instead”…@#$!^$*3%

We end up arriving hotel at 11.45, an hour earlier than expected mainly due to the less people and we didn’t spent much time. Since we have nothing to do, we headed again to the Patong beach and swim. The wave was extremely high about 1 meter and the current was so strong that it can turn us 360 if we just sit there. No joke. There is one current that push me 10 meter away…Just believe that…

Night fall and we headed to Fantasea, the magical land of mystery.
As many of my friend said that the show was just not nice and not worth of money, we opt for the buffet dinner and we still able to take photo around. The buffet which so call the ‘grandest’ wasn’t grandest buffet I ever ate but the hall is extremely magnificent. Imagine eating at the hall that can fit in 4000 people at one time fully decorated with nice statue. The staff are extremely polite as they keep on sawadee kap, and they just continue to kap, kap, kap and kap here and kap there. Kap, Krab Kon Kap….

We have our stomach filled and we decided to go for a walk when the god decided to pour in heavy rain. Everyone run to the theater for their show leaving barely 10 people around the park. Yup, most people buy the show ticket and not like us. Well, I do expect that as it was the most advertise program of all in Phuket. So the whole theme park are left with 3 musketeer wondering around taking photo like there is no body care…Ya, it was no body care what!!! We spent half an hour wondering the Jungle adventure whereby we saw few animal like parrot, peacock, snake, deer, monkey, dinasour…and very fortunate rats. This toy factory are the home of about 20 mouse…Can u believe that!

The finale of kingdom of the jungle adventure is the palace of the Tiger. Mind you, it really mean palace!
The Palace come with a swimming pool and the main stage as well. Damm “ham fook” the 2 white tiger.

One was sleeping and another one walking around non stop. I can even snap a photo but to take a video instead...Such an active animal...

The rain stop when we come out from the Kingdom and we start snapping photo again…and we stop at 10.30 when the crowd expected to come out. The death city was alive again when the light is on, music was play and the staffs suddenly appear from no way. All the booth is open again awaiting those visitor to come out from the theater. I believe god was just too envy to them that He decided to pour in more rain…Hehe….so we run to the taxi stop where we wait for our missing taxi…

The journey ended here for Day 3 as we went back with tired face and lot of photosssssssss…..
