K- worker program start on Wednesday with the first module, The Mastery Camp. The camp aim to equip the students with knowledge and introduction to other module that will be continue in 2 weeks period. The camp manage to bring all 22 person together as teams and build up team spirit and team building. Besides that, it also stress on leadership skills and survivor skills.
The camp was conducted in Kolej Uniti, Port Dickson which was once an outbound school. We stay in a chalet provided by the management and undergo army training just like National service trainee undergo.
It was a very nice camp, where we manage to build up close relationship with the other 21 participants. I truly respect all of them for the team spirit and cooperation when we have the camp together.
Too tired to write summary for all event...hehe...will do that later in time because need to do something right now....Anyway, those who had never been to soft skills, better go before you all regret lo...hehe..

What...A camp at this kinda time??
Today, while I was drawing the banner for Taman Negara Trip, I got a call from SSCU, softskill competency unit that they have top up the K-worker to be 15 days from 26 Sept to 11 Oct(excluding weekend) and the best or shall i say the worst part, is I will be in Port Dickson for 3 day camp!!!
wahahahahha....
Haiz....fortunately my part for thesis is done and I got weekend to do all the remaining things...K-worker really give me a lot of surprises since the first day I was choosen to be in the program. They are transferring me from class 2 to class 1 of the program which mean longer program and better program....hahaha...
Anyway, busy packing for tomorrow camp...Friends in KLANG...sorry sorry sorry that this semester break I am busy again.....cannot go wet with u all...so sorry....anyway will be back in klang next week so wanna yum cha also can....
Hehehehe...damm happy pass IF, CRCI and MADM paper...1 more paper to go...hopefully pass also la...hehe....

Famine 30 hour
'Stadium Putra, Bukit Jalil was awash with orange on the 15th and 16th of September. 5,400 campers and volunteers went hungry to bring hope to children in need.'

Fortunate Generation or Unlucky Generation....
Moving toward a more globalization era and full with technologies, we might feel that children nowadays have very fortunate life. How old was you then when you receive your first handphone? I guess most of us from our generation receive it during the time we almost going for our tertiary education or for some wealthy family, they might got it when they were in Form 3. Looking at the children now, they even have a good handphone when they are only in primary four. They even carry a better model compare to me!!
Children are more fortunate with available of internet and other technology which enable their daily life become easier. Years ago, when we are doing our school project or studies paper in secondary school, we have to use hand to write. Nowadays, children started to use computer. Family is getting wealthier and children can always enjoy their life compare to the others.
However, these bunch of children, loss a lot of things that we has experience. Looking at Nurin case recently, it was proved that children no longer have freedom. When I was small, I always run from the lower street up to the upper street, from houses to houses, cycling from one place to another and play around in the neighbourhood without worries. Can children nowadays do that? Definitely no. With majority of parents working at day time, children have to be supervise by either "evil" maid or been put up in tuition centre. Their life is full with pack schedule - school, tuition, music class, dance class, art class,language class, swimming class and lots more. Besides that, look at their school bags. During our time, our bags already goes few kilo and now it become more worst. Children have stress managing their school work which was added with other works such as tuition and music class.
Children was stuck in the Malaysia failure education system where they were punished for doing something which is logical and correct but was wrong in the sense of education. I still remember most of my teacher stresses on the important of grade rather than personality skills and behaviour. As long as you can score, that will be a good students. That is the biggest failure of the school or even up to the university stage and this is the reason why Malaysia education system had manage to produce thousand and thousand of useless graduate to add into the statistic of unemployment.
Besides losing freedom and stuck in the educational system, children lose friendship and lots of good time like we use to be. I believe people in my generation, get to visit from houses to houses to have fun or go out together to play soccer or cycling together. This rarely happen even in safe neighbourhood.
Children are lack independence nowadays according to a research I read. Children use the reason of being too fortunate as not being able to be independent. Why not. With such a dangerous country plus family are able to support their children 24/7/365 it was not a reason why children become lazy or choose not to be independent. Everything was arrange by their parent and they just follow. Did you see any kids nowadays taking buses??Yup, but getting lesser especially the Chinese! Their parent will drove them to wherever place they wanted to be...oopps...not everywhere, only to school, tuition centre, swimming class and other classes...Not friends house..hehe...
What ever that happen in the era now, it was not too late for us to change. The main reason of why children are either too fortunate or too unlucky to be born in this era is causes by mainly 3 reasons. Parent attitude toward the children, Government policies (education) and the safety of the country. When I think back my childhood time, it was full of enjoyment, less stress and most happy time. So why must we take away the only memorable period of their growth? As we move on, comparing our generation and generation to come, are they more fortunate or are they not? A Long day of eating and moving
Yesterday, I wake up early to do my thesis...It was a simple part but I took almost 2 hours to write..hehe...dunno why...Suppose to help a lecturer to move his house so I waited for the call for few hours..hehe...anyway, the whole thing went well and ended at 4pm where the lecturer belanja us makan minum at Lo Hong Ka...hehehe
Night time suppose to be a surprise party for Thomas, but it end up not surprising...all thanks to station 1!!!hehe....Firstly we fool Thomas to McDonalds while another team gather at Station 1 to prepare for the whole event. After 8, we depart from McDonalds to Station 1 to celebrate but once we have our seat, the cake come out!!!Not surprising at all...What surprise us is how come it come out so early...hehe...Atfer sing song, makan again and frink, then we play card lo....kinda boring actulayy but I win the most in "Big ace game" wahahahahah...then Kent fool me go mamak pulak...haiz....so whole day is makan makan only...hehehe

SkyBar
Yesterday night to celebrate the ending of our last long semester, we have our trip to SkyBar, a poolside bar on top of Traders Hotel in KLCC.
Anne, Nicole, Yu Jue and me(combination of Accounting + Business Admin + Entrepreneursip) went shopping at afternoon, after I complete my part in my thesis (lol...thesis for 2 semester break liow...like dead fish now). Innitial plan is to go The Pavillion but Nicole said that the shopping centre is very high end and tailor for high class people and will not suitable for us. AT the end we decided to go to SkyBar. Located directly opposite of Petronas Twin Tower, Skybar is build at 33 floor of Traders Hotel, manage by ShangriLa Hotel. Of sitting was really nice as the twin tower is really just in front of our eye. We can also see water fountain at Suria KLCC. Not forgetting firework and laser show from Titiwangsa Lake. It was a nice exxperience. Have some shot of drinks call "chi chi" (a combination of pineapple juice, with twist of lemon, some whisky, fresh virgin young cocounut milk and cherry topping. It was nice drink. Anne drink is SIngapore Sling, the worst drink ever because is like drinking cough syrup..hehe...Nicole was not satisfied with her drink named Long island tea (combination of orange, lime, lemon and some liquor). Forgotten what Yu Jue order already but what I know, her drink is also not bad although it taste a bit weird.
At the end we call another drink call Lychee Love a champagne cocktail( combination of lychee, roses, some champagne and some twist of lemon) and not forgetting the 1 meter long sushi. Althought the trip there cost us like "hell" but it was treat by Ms Anne, The rich gal..hehe...

Sand or Stone
Long time ago, there is 2 best friends, Bernard and James walking in the desert. They get lost after a while and were very frustrated. Bernard give up of walking and keep on discourage James to discontinue. Angry James slaps Bernard and walk away. Bernard then write "Today my best friend slap me! I am sad" and then continue walking with James.
After a few hour of walk, the found an oasis. At last they can drink some water. Out of the sudden, Bernard fall into the oasis and almost get drown in the water. Without much consideration, James jump into the water and rescue him.
Bernard thank him and get a sharp small stone to carve "Today, my best friend save my life, I am very happy" on a very huge stone near the oasis.
James then ask Bernard, why he write on the sand when he slap him and write again on the stone when he save him. James said, I write on the sand because my sadness will fade away in the sand after some wind blow, but my happiness to have you as my friend will remain strong as what i carve in the stone which I hope will remain forever. James was so touch by his friend word and become best friends forever.
When friends get angry on us, it mean they care about us. Sometime in certain event or unpredictable timing, they might do something that will hurt you, but what really care is they treasure the friendship so much that they willing to risk their life.
This story had been passes on for many many time. If you are Buddhist, you might hear this in Dharma Talk. Friends are not meant to be use nor as tools to achieve your objective but friends are treasure that will guide and help you to achieve what u are finding in your life.
"As human beings we all have the potential to be happy and compassionate, and also have the potential to be miserable and harmful to others. The potential for all these things is present within each of us. If we want to be happy, then the important things to do is to try to promote the positive and useful aspects in each of us and try to reduce the negative" (The Holiness, the Dalai Lama)
The meaning of life is to find happiness to yourself and bring happiness to people around you. Be rational in what you do, and always think of positive aspect in life. Life will be more meaningful and happiness will always be with you.

The End of Exam...
Exam time is always suck!!(sorry for been so rude..hehe..but exam really is the most suffering time)
Yeah...today mark a very special day, the end of our last long semester which mean we left only one short semester before our graduation.
IF exam result out today and yeah i pass it..hehe....I am so worry for the stupid MADM paper...Have few time nightmare after the stupid paper...Haiz...other paper is still ok...hehe
Today went for karaoke and end with thesis discussion. What a holiday!!still need to finalize thesis..haiz...
Time flies. During pre-u, i still remember i always said "we still have long way to go. 4 years of tertiary level study". Is coming to the end very soon. The very last 3 month to end my Uni life..must live to the fullness.
Now everyone is planning for graduation trip and so on...what a happy time...where to go? where to go?hahahaha...I am thinking of Ko Samui...anyone with me..hehe..

Some short Budget 2008 Summary
Today the Prime Minister announce the Budget 2008,
Here go some summary of it...
Students are more fortunate nowadays
1. No more exam fees starting 2007
2. No more school fees for all SK and SMK starting 2008
3. Textbook is free to all student
4. to encourage students to participate in uniform body, government will sponsor 1 full set of uniform to student with household income of less than 1000
In conclusion, starting from primary school up to secondary school will be 100% free in government school
PSD scholarship for public university will increase from 5000 students to 10000 students.
Cost Living allowance for public university and selected pverseas country will be increase by 2008
To promote a culture of life-long learning among Malaysians, the Government proposes tax relief of up to RM5,000 on education fees be extended to all post graduate studies.
Teacher allowance increase by double...
Biotechnology will still be focus in Budget 2008 with more incentive and injection of capital. Tourism industry will also receive more incentive and budget..
For corporate, the 1 tier tax will beapplicable rather than 2 tiers. Under a single-tier tax system, profits are only taxed at the company’s level and dividends received are exempted from tax.
For sport person, now you can get tax relief of RM300 for all sport equipment bought.
Income of Bumiputera in Sabah and Sarawak will be improved by various ways.

A new day, A new beginning...our country is moving backward!!
A new day today...Waking up and check my mail before started my revision of the day...Receive a forward mail that I doubt the content thus, i spent half an hour searching for more information in the net...
In process of going for general election, all rumour will start to come out. With technology available, now rumour spread in the internet and via email. The house of parliament is suppose the place our member of parliament represent the citizen to express our view, opinion to make this country a better place to live.
I never watch politics stuff in youtube until today where I found that our parliament is just not an argument place for our future but more to fighting place between the government party and opposition. I wonder what they really argue in the house of representative. (if interested on what I watch, just go to youtube and search)...shocking findings lol...
Anyway, dun want to interupt the politic in Malaysia...all eligible people, just go and register and open your eye bigger, and make sure you listen what they promise to you....see whether what they promise, you get it or not....Vote wisely lo...wahahaha...I still cannot vote this time around...wahahaha...

Crisis
My parent always said, learn from the older person. They are more knowledgeable than us. My teacher once said that listen to leader speech, it might be boring but it might have something you can learn from.
Today, in such a crisis timing, where exam is coming and there is still so much to be revise, I would like to take some time to quote the saying of a leader, Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik...
He said, crisis doesn't mean bad. It can be good. It can be bad. But if we manage crisis nicely, it can turn zero to a gold. I quoted his word during my Inter-varsity speech where he is so impress, but franky speaking, when crisis happen to me, I will always remember this word..."Crisis"
Crisis in mandarin is " wei chi" which stand for "wei sian" (danger) and "chi huie" (chances)...hopefully my hanyin pinyin is correct..wahaha...
If we fail to identify crisis and unable to manage it, it will be a danger to us. But however, if we can play around with crisis and manage it well, it will turn crisis into chances.
Hopefully I am able to manage my crisis...hehe...
By the way, next semester, we will have a lot of office tour...EY and BDO binder already confirmed. PwC and Deloitte will mostly go by Nov..and Paul Chuah & Co will be coming for talk and UTAR annual career fair will also be here somewhere Nov. Haha...So be prepare with resume...Dun let the chances fly away...
Oh ya...before forgot, vote in the pool i created...Just curious what u all migth end up with after u all graduate...haha

Australia Win the Golden Merdeka Cup
The inaugural Malaysia International Firework Competition (MIFC) came to the end yesterday with a 30 minutes firework in Putrajaya. 8000 fireworks was shot to the sky yesterday night.
The first winner of MIFC was Australia team, Howard and Sons Pyrotechnics Pty Ltd, which firing the firework on 22 August 2007. The theme for their firework session was 'Aurora Australia'.
The team was the firework supplier to Disneyland and was the one which display the firework during Melbourne Commonwealth Games last year.
It was a bit dissapointing that Japan, which was expected to win, didn't turn out to be the winner. However, I must congratulate all 4 teams for giving such a good show. Haiz...how good if I could make it for Australia team that day...
Actually Australia team does perform well than Japan this time around (my opinion..after view it in youtube)...the color combination is nice and the position of all the firework are very beautiful as well...However for the ending part, I believe no team can beat Japan...wahahaha...

Finale of MIFC
Hahahahaha....
for those who had not yet go for the firework in Putrajaya, please go tomorrow as it will be a finale of 30 minutes non stop display....It will be a 10 minutes dispaly of Team Global (Organizer) and Pyrofest Canada, a very famous event planner and firework firing company who monitor this competition. It have organized the Canada yearly firework competition. The earlier newspaper mentions that all participanting team (Malaysia, Japan, Italy and Australia) will also contribute in the finale display. Not sure this is true or not since the organizer like to change last minutes de....But i hope to see the Japan finale that day..hope it will appear again...hahaha...but i dun think i will be going for the finale la...hahahahha
Anyway,it will be interesting to know who is the winner. Another thing, standing at PICC does make ddifferent...if you stand at roadsite, the area is too near and i can garantee your eye can't see all the fireworks....haha...
