It was 4 hours before the Famine 30 started.
Famine 30 is dedicated to raise awareness to the public on the starvation face by many children in the world and also raise fund to help those children.
Some may have known that I had dedicated small portion of my salary to fund a children in Myanmar. Same goes to Nicholas and Ken Yap....But money contribution is just not enough....We should put on more effort in helping them...
This is why I do sometime promote World Vision on my blog hoping more youngsters will participate as well.
All of us are very fortunate to have enough food, proper clothing, a good shelter, a proper internet connection (if not you won’t able to read my blog then) and many more. But not all are as fortunate as us. Some struggle to survive every second of their life.
Unlike natural disaster such as tsunami, earthquake or volcano, starvation had never been reported in news or make known to public. Most of the time, this crisis have no reporting value and is harden by political barrier.
Some isolated part of Africa region struggle to find even clean water. Many children had die due to pollution and water contamination. Draught in China and Africa forces children to starvation and poverty.
Political instability and natural disaster causing Myanmar and Sri Lanka children unable to attend classes and working underage to find 3 meals a day….or even less than 3 meals a day…
If we got the power, wouldn’t we do something about it? It maybe too late to register for Famine 30 now, but move ahead everyone…..Sponsor a child….Stop starvation…The world can be a better place…
To my Muslim reader, Selamat Berpuasa….
To others, I do hope we do puasa for this 30 hours for a good course as well…
